Paris Saint-Germain are ready to give acting’s Cristiano Ronaldo a whopping £250,000 a week after tax to join them this summer. Just think how many more films he can make with that kind of money! He’ll be closing in on the Police Academy record soon enough and it is not possible to be grateful enough for that.

Did you know that Sven Goran-Eriksson is the manager of Shanghai SIPG? Weeeelllllllllll, it’s true, and he wants to be reunited with artist formerly know as The White Pele. That’s right, Wayne Rooney is heading to China! Sven and Wazza in China. There’s a documentary in that, possibly to be produced and directed by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pep Guardiola is going to disappoint Chelsea and Manchester City by scrawling his name on a contract that will keep him at Bayern Munich until 2017. That’s a weird decision from Bayern given that Brendan Rodgers is available.

Arsenal are eyeing up Internazionale’s Mauro Icardi and whispering sweet nothings in his year. Can he play in defensive midfield?

Arsenal have also been linked Alexandre Pato. Can he play in defensive midfield?

A new low for Chelsea: their search for someone to take over Radamel Falcao’s role in the squad has seen them snubbed by Fenerbahce’s Robin van Persie, who lost the ability to run in early 2013.

The three Englishmen Slaven Bilic must axe to get West Ham's season back on track

West Ham United's brilliant start to the season has fallen flat of late and Slaven Bilic must find the answers to turn things around.

Damien Lucas

The Hammers were unceremoniously thrashed by their fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 on Sunday.

In truth the margin of victory could and probably should have been more.

Aside from their exit to FC Astra in the Europa League qualifiers - which was deemed something of a blessing in disguise - it was Bilic's first humiliation since his return to East London as boss.

It also stretched the club's winless run to three games following the draw with Everton and 2-0 defeat to Watford beforehand.

The loss of star player Dimitri Payet and £12 million striker Enner Valencia to long term injuries has made things difficult for the former Croatia boss.

Time to use the squad

But he does have plenty of options to change his side around, and he needs to start using them because it is just not working of late.

This season more than any other West Ham have a very good squad and it is time Bilic wielded the axe.

West Bromich Albion, fresh from their 2-1 win over Arsenal last time out, are up next for the Hammers on Sunday lunchtime.

Here are the three players Bilic must drop to get the Hammers back to winning ways.

Andy Carroll

Any West Ham fans that still clung on to the belief that Carroll could adapt to Bilic's style of play before the Spurs mauling must surely now be seeing the wood for the trees.

Carroll, once again, was poor, offering very little and making the Hammers far too predictable.

It wasn't for the lack of trying but Carroll is so limited as a footballer and is one of the slowest strikers around.

Even more frustratingly for Hammers fans, Diafra Sakho - the club's main goal threat and the player who essentially makes West Ham tick - was shoved out wide to accommodate the big Geordie.

The only time Carroll has looked effective since his comeback from injury was as a late second half sub against Chelsea where he got the winner. And that is the only way he should feature for Bilic, as a plan B when plan A hasn't worked.

Sakho must take his place up front if West Ham are to get back to their potent attacking best.

Mark Noble

Bilic made a rod for his own back by naming homegrown Hammer Noble captain after Kevin Nolan's departure.

Any West Ham fan worth their salt would have told him Noble was not a guaranteed starter in midfield and so cannot be the skipper.

And so it has proved. Noble has been one of the club's poorest performers of late and was once again completely ineffectual against Spurs.

Spanish star Pedro Obiang, signed for £5 million from Sampdoria in the summer, has had little game time due to a combination of injuries and, when he is fit, Bilic electing to play Noble ahead of him.

But classy pass master Obiang has been so impressive each time he has played for the Hammers and started in each of West Ham's away wins over Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Obiang has a better passing range, is quicker and more mobile than Noble and West Ham could risk losing him long-term if he doesn't get enough game time.

James Tomkins

A few weeks back Tomkins looked majestic at the heart of the West Ham defence.

But he has been out of sorts of late and in each of the last three games has been directly at fault for a costly goal.

At Watford his terrible hashed clearance allowed Odion Ighalo to seal the game with a second goal after a Carroll howler had gifted the Hornets the first.

Against Everton Tomkins was again at fault when Romelu Lukaku split him and Winston Reid down Tomkins' side, defending Bilic later labelled 'cheap'.

Then against Spurs just after half-time with West Ham 2-0 down and the next goal crucial Tomkins played the ball straight to Harry Kane who lashed in a third.

Italian international Angelo Ogbonna was signed for £8 million in the summer and has been sat kicking his heels on the bench for the last few weeks since returning from injury.

The former Juventus defender had forged a solid partnership with Reid and that must be reinstated if West Ham want to improve.

Samuelsen Joins In Loan Deal

Posh swoop to sign highly-rated West Ham United attacker Martin Samuelsen.

Peterborough United have secured the loan signing of highly-rated West Ham United attacker Martin Samuelsen in a loan deal until 2nd January 2016.

Posh fought off competition from a number of other clubs to obtain the 18-year-old who has completed the paperwork ahead of the Sky Bet League One fixture with Barnsley at the ABAX Stadium.

The Norwegian youngster joined West Ham United on a two-year contract from Manchester City in June 2015 and can also operate in either wide position.

Capped by his country at U16, U17 and U18 levels, he impressed on his debut in a UEFA Europa League second qualifying round first-round tie against Maltese side Birkirkara at the Boleyn Ground on 16 July 2015 and he also featured in the Hammers side that played Posh during pre-season.

Samuelsen will wear the number 36 shirt during his stay at the ABAX.

Posh director of football Barry Fry revealed that he’s certain to get a run out at the weekend declaring: “He’s the icing on the cake for us.

“I think the club would sooner he had gone to a Championship club but we managed to get it done and I’m thrilled. He’s a terrific player and a great young man.

“He tore us apart in a pre-season friendly and he will be magnificent for us. I’m sure of that. We explained he will be playing in a diamond rather than out wide and he said that suited him down to the ground because he’d have more of the ball. Great attitude.”

Ivory Coast ace issues come and get me plea to West Ham and Crystal Palace

IVORY COAST hotshot Gohi Bi Zoro Cyriac has issued a come and get me plea to West Ham and Crystal Palace.

ACE: Gohi Bi Zoro Cyriac in action for Anderlecht

By Paul Brown

Both clubs have watched the 25-year-old striker, who is currently top scorer in Belgium with ten goals in 15 games for Oostende.

And Cyriac admits he has his heart set on following in the footsteps of father figure Didier Drogba by making a move to the Premier League.

Asked about the interest from West Ham and Palace, he said: “I’m happy about that. I like those clubs. They would be a challenge for me.

“I was told they were in the stadium and that there is possible interest, but I am just concentrating on playing for my club.

“I would be happy to play in the best league in the world one day but right now I want to help Oostende qualify for Europe.

“I like the Premier League a lot. When I was a kid I liked Wayne Rooney, and I met Didier Drogba playing for the Ivory Coast. He has given me lots of advice.

“He is like a father figure. He has helped me a lot. I like the Premier League. It is very physical and referees play with a good spirit and don’t stop the attacks all the time.”

Cyriac, who joined Oostende from Anderlecht last summer, is under contract until 2019 but is understood to be keen on a move.

Palace are in the market because because they have struggled to get goals from their strikers this season, while West Ham are looking for depth as Diafra Sakho has struggled with injuries.
